ABOUT US

Respect, Support, Inspire.

Inspiring Girls to Play, Improve & Enjoy Football.

We are a two-star FA accredited football club dedicated to the development of girls’ and women’s football from age 5 through to adults. As one of the few standalone female clubs in Merseyside, Lancashire and Greater Manchester, we welcome players from Rainford and surrounding areas including St Helens, Wigan, Ormskirk and Liverpool.

Guided by our ethos of Respect, Support, Inspire, we promote teamwork, discipline and fair play while building strong ties with our community and local charities. Our fully qualified and DBS-checked coaches provide a safe, supportive environment for players to grow both on and off the pitch, with opportunities to progress into coaching, refereeing and volunteering.

Player & Volunteer Pathways

Grow. Lead. Inspire.

At Rainford Ladies Athletic, football is just the beginning.
We help our players build confidence, leadership and life skills — on and off the pitch. Older players are encouraged to develop through coaching, refereeing and volunteering, with access to FA courses and club support.

Our volunteers are the heartbeat of the club, from coaches and matchday helpers to committee members. Whether you’re a parent, player or supporter, there’s always a place to get involved and make a difference.

Coaching

Help shape the next generation. We support players and parents to earn FA coaching qualifications and gain hands-on experience with our teams.

Refereeing

Learn the game from a new perspective. We guide aspiring referees through FA training, giving them confidence and matchday experience.

Volunteering

Be part of the team behind the team. From admin to events, our volunteers keep the club thriving and make a real difference in our community.
