Due to our rapidly expanding club and significant increase in numbers, we had no choice but to hold our annual presentation evening over two nights this year!
Our players descended on the Totally Wicked Stadium for a weekend of celebrations. Friday 11th May saw our younger teams: Wildcats through to U11’s and Saturday 12th May our older teams U12’s through to Lionesses.
We were excited to welcome our Lionesses this year to the celebrations and boy do they know how to party!
There was hot food available and a photo booth to capture the night, as well as a disco with plenty of dancing and smiles all round.
Both evenings were well attended with nearly 700 guests overall. It was a fantastic weekend where we celebrated all the achievements of the wonderful ladies in our RLA family.
Each player received a participation award and there were also four categories of individual awards up for grabs; Coaches player of the year, Sportsperson of the year, players player of the year and parents player of the year.
There was also ‘The Standing Tall Foundation Award’ which recognises a special individual that has gone above and beyond, over come adversity and or are a role model. Those that embody the ethos of Rainford Ladies Athletic, RESPECT, SUPPORT, INSPIRE. This was presented this year by the foundations own John.
We also introduced the ‘Volunteer of the year award’ for the 2023/24 season. This was voted for by parents, players and fellow volunteers to recognise an individual that has gone above and beyond for our club.
